About
Uptown Girl Home Organization is a small business owned and operated by a New Orleans native. I am one of those rare people who actually enjoys cleaning and organizing. When my friends invite me to their house, I will probably start doing the dishes or color-coding their closet. After pivoting from a career organizing databases and creating meticulous spreadsheets, I decided to make helping others with their organization projects a full-time endeavor in 2024.
Mission
We understand that organizing is not everyone's passion or forte. Sometimes a busy schedule or life challenges get in the way and a once routine task can pile up into something we can no longer undertake on our own. Sometimes we just have better things to do. We offer helping hands and a fresh start.
Community
We love New Orleans— the vibrant and beautiful people and place. We seek to help spread the love and wealth our city has to offer by carefully sorting donate-able items and keeping them out of landfills and in the community.
We work with local partners to distribute items such as food, furniture, clothing, toys, and Mardi Gras throws free of charge to community members in need.
Sustainability
Sustainability is a core mission of our business. During our work, we seek to sort recyclable items from donations and trash. This includes plastic and paper recycling, glass, metals, shipping and moving boxes and packing materials, electronic waste (e-waste), hazardous materials, construction/building materials, and Mardi Gras throws.
